April Newsletter: Do no harm!

April Newsletter: Do no harm!

Today’s fast pace of life is taking everyone by surprise—everything seems to be evolving at rocket speed! New innovations in the way we speak, communicate, in our work, lifestyle, and also newer ways in the way we view our nutrition. Things have changed, and we can sometimes be resistant to this change. This can set you back several decades and cause you to feel stagnant and left out.

My outlook on change is to embrace change that dovetails with the principles I have laid out in life, the primary of which involve mutual respect for one another and the ability to have free will in a way that does not jeopardize others rights and privileges. I guess choices should also be centered around these tenets. In medicine, we learn the phrase do no harm! This means we are not dispensaries for everyone to order this and that, but we are powerhouses of information where we provide the guidance and counsel to enable one to take the right decision and also use our privileges of prescribing to do no harm!

Having said that, wherever you find yourself, make a conscious decision to live responsibly and with the embodiment of principles that will embrace dignity and integrity. When you do this, you will see that things line up for propagating good in your society.

This Month in the Kitchen, we will make Agave and Soy sauce-glazed Cod with Gluten-free Chickpea Linguine in a Spinach Pesto with a side of Garlic Asparagus. We will discuss Star Apple, in our Ingredient Section, and in our Monthly Why, we will discuss why too much fat in our body can cause more harm than good. As always, I wish that you keep your health in center focus and live long and strong!
