December Newsletter: Wishing you glad tidings!
With the commencement of each year there is great expectation, but in this case the year ends with glad tidings and hope for a great future. What does Christmas mean to you? To me Christmas means redemption, restoration, love, and healing. This is what Christ died so we may have. The Creator not only created us but gave us the ability to choose who we worship, and what we do with our lives. He respects our decisions, so we must in turn respect the choices of others. Whatever faith people choose to have or not to have is their choice—we must cultivate tolerance, kindness and respect for one another.
Free will is the gift we were all endowed with—a choice to do what you feel is right in your heart to do! Remember choices have responsibility attached with them, they are not simple insignificant details, but things that will impact your life for the better or for worse. Everyday choices like what you eat, what you wear, what you study, whom you associate with, whom you marry, where you work, etc. All these choices have consequences that will impact your life, so— choose well!
This month in the Kitchen we will make Nasi Lemak with Vegetable Korma and we will also highlight the nutritional properties of Lemongrass in your Ingredient Spotlight. In our Monthly Why section, we will elaborate on Why Fasting can be beneficial to your health. As always, I wish that you stay focused on your health and nutrition and live long and strong!
