Sweet Green Moong Dal
Ingredients and things needed:
1 cup of whole green Moong Dal (washed and soaked in water overnight)
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
½ cup of Shredded coconut
4 whole cardamom pods
Water as needed
Pressure cooker
Directions:
Take the drain soaked dal and cook with the cardamom pods and 3 cups of water in the pressure cooker until soft but still holds its shape. The heat may vary depending on the type of pressure cooker.
Transfer the dal to a nonstick pan and heat over a mild to moderate heat.
Add the brown sugar and coconut and cook until flavors are incorporated.
Serve by itself with a drizzle of honey and a sprinkling of brown sugar or with a scoop of frozen yogurt.
