Organic Sweet and Savory Tofu Triangles with Kale salad

Organic Sweet and Savory Tofu squares with Kale, brussel sprout and Cranberry salad

Ingredients:

Organic firm Tofu -Cut into triangles or squares

2 inches peeled ginger

2 dried red chilis

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 large red onions sliced thin

2 teaspoon Sesame oil

2 tablespoon Rice Vinegar

1 teaspoon Garam masala

1 cup tomato sauce -or Ketchup

1 tablespoon low sodium Soy sauce

1 teaspoon ground organic turmeric

Garlic Salt- 1/4 teaspoon

Directions

Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a nonstick pan and heat gently

Dust the tofu triangles with turmeric and garlic salt and brown on each side in pan and set aside

In Mortar grind together dried red chilis, black pepper and ginger to paste

Heat remaining oil in large nonstick pan and add ground spices and allow to heat through

Add the sliced onions and brown in spice mix

Add the rice vinegar, low sodium soy sauce, Garam masala and Tomato sauce or ketchup and allow to come together as a sauce

Immerse the Tofu triangles in sauce and allow to absorb flavors for 1/2 hour

Serve over Kale, shredded Brussel sprouts and dried cranberry salad
