There are several varieties of this berry worldwide.They are prized for their pigments that have a wide range of health benefits—these pigments called anthocyanins have been studied and found to be beneficial to health. Composition:
They are rich in polyphenols and various phytonutrients.
Blueberries have the richest source of anthocyanins among common fruits. These are pigments that have a red, purple, and blue color.
